Madagascar Palm, Pachypodium lamerei (20 SEEDS)
A 20 pack of Madagascar Palm (Pachypodium lamerei) seeds from my own tree!
Madagascar Palm is originally from the island of Madagascar off the east coast of Africa.
It is not actually a palm at all but a species of plants in the Apocynaceae. The very same family that Plumeria, Stapeliads, and iboga are in.
As you can see in the pics of the mother plant, it grows tall candelabra style much like a lot of cacti. The stems are covered in very thick spines. It flowers a beautiful cluster of white flowers, typically in spring/summer.
Instructions for Germination:
-Soak seeds for 24 hours before planting in non-chlorinated water
-Bury seeds about 1/4” in succulent mix (same mix used for Trichocereus or other columnar)
-They should be kept in a warm, sunny location, preferably at temps ranging from 70-80 F.
-Germination will typically will occur in 4-14 days
-They should be germinated in a Tupperware container, or a pot inside of a ziplock bag, etc. Humidity should be high at all times during germination.
