Blue Myrtle Cactus, Myrtillocactus geometrizans [Rare Red-Spined Form] (8-10" TIP Cutting)

Ascetically this is one of my favorite cacti! The spines come out a brilliant red, particularly soon after emerging. A very beautiful version of Blue Myrtle.

Blue Myrtle, or Myrtillocactus geometrizans is native to Central and Northern Mexico. It is a very glaucous (Blue-gray hued) cactus and this one is particularly thick and beautiful. A very popular cactus in landscaping, cultivation, and used as a grafting stock.
