Peruvian Torch, Trichocereus peruvianus var. 'Short Spined Peruvianus' (10-12 inch Tip cutting)
This cut is very similar looking to Landfill. Many consider any "short-spined peruvianus" to be merely a thicker, short-spined San Pedro, very similar to what many are now calling a "true Ecuadorian pachanoi" due to Keeper Trout's articles on the subject. Whether it's actually a true pachanoi or a short-spined peruvianus is up for debate, regardless it's one of the most beautiful plants in our collection here at Mallacht's Plants.
Trichocereus peruvianus or Echinopsis peruviana (as it has technically been renamed to) is a vigorously growing columnar cactus from the Western side of the Andes Mountain region in Peru.
