• It originated from Dawson's Cactus Garden in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia, which was founded in 1933.
• Dawson's Cactus Garden was a major Australian cactus nursery for decades.
• Dawson's #1 is the first of the Trichocereus peruvianus clones named after the Dawson's Garden.
• It is considered a highly desirable clone due to its strong blue coloration.
